APPLE ORCHARDS
There are several local orchards that offer apple
picking and local produce. TOM AND SALLY’S HOMEMADE CHOCOLATES Tours operate at 10:00am and 2:00pm Monday through Saturday. If your group would like to tour, we suggest either touring first, or have an 11:30 meal and then take the 2:00 tour. The price is $5.00 per person and lasts approximately 45 minutes. Everyone gets a free sample! If you don’t want the tour, you can visit the factory outlet. 802-254-4200 COLL'S FARM STAND is located in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. Coll's is open year round and is only 7 miles from the Inn. Coll's has all the amenities of a farm stand. It features fresh fruits and vegetables, jams and jellies, flowers, and other farm products. 603-532-6361 COLL’S SUGAR HOUSE is 6 miles from the Inn. If you've always wanted to see how that great tasting New Hampshire maple syrup is made this is where you want to go. Sample maple syrup products while you watch the demonstration on how the syrup is made. There is a gift shop to purchase maple syrup and other products made here. Only available in March. CATHEDRAL OF THE PINES is located in Rindge, New Hampshire. The Cathedral is open from May through October and is only 20 minutes from the Inn at East Hill Farm. A visit to the Cathedral includes a guided hour tour with a history of the Cathedral and an hour for free time to spend in the gift shop, in the museum, or taking in the beautiful scenery around you. 603-899-3300 GREEN MOUNTAIN RAILWAY is in Bellows Falls, Vermont. Open from June 11 through late October the Railway is 50 minutes away. Two hour narrated train ride from Bellows Falls, Vermont, to Chesterfield, New Hampshire and back. Covered bridges, rock huts, and the Chesterfield Gorge are a few of the things to see on this ride. The ride starts at 11:00am-1:00pm and 2:00pm to 4:00pm everyday except Monday. Call for tour prices. 802-463-3069 SMITH'S CHEESE FACTORY is 25 minutes away, located in Winchendon, Massachusetts. There is no charge and is open Thursday and Friday in the spring and Monday through Friday in the fall.
