When are you open?
        We are open every day of the year.  Our office is open daily from 8:00am until 9:00pm.

     
             
     
     
             
     

When do you offer activity programs for children?
        Most weekends are family weekends which include activities.  Activities are also offered during school vacations and all summer long.

     
             
     
     
             
     

What should we bring?
        We recommend that you bring pool towels.  All other linens are provided.  We also recommend that you bring sneakers or boots, we do not allow open toed shoes in the barn or on the trail.

     
             
     
     
             
     

Can we get a babysitter? 
        Let us know when you would like a babysitter. We will try to get one for you.  Most of our babysitters are in high school, therefore it can be difficult to find an available sitter during school hours.  We suggest $10 per hour.  

     
             
     
     
             
     

Do you serve alcohol?  
        We do not have a liquor license, however you can bring your own alcohol.

     
             
     
     
             
     

What are your meals like?
        Our meals are home cooked, all you can eat.  Each family has their own separate table and meals are served family style.  We have a full menu for breakfast.  Lunch is usually a buffet or a light lunch with a few different choices.  Dinner is usually two entree choices.  Our children's menu for lunch and dinner includes; hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, pizza, spaghetti, or macaroni and cheese.

     
             
     
     
             
     

Can you accommodate special diets?
       
Please provide us with advance notice and we will accommodate special diets including vegetarian, gluten free, low sugar and food allergies.

     
             
     
     
             
     

What time are meals served?
        Breakfast is served 7:45-9.  Lunch is served 12-1.  Dinner is served 6-7.  Friday night dinner is usually served at 6:30 to accommodate for those arriving later in the evening.

     
             
     
     
             
     

Can we sign up for horseback riding in advance?
        Sign ups for equestrian riding activities must be done in person.  The equestrian staff needs to meet with the potential rider to evaluate his/her ability, experience and size.  Riding availability is on a first come, first served basis.  Children must be accompanied by a parent or other responsible adult in their party.  All participants in our equestrian program will be required to sign a release form (If rider is a minor, release must be signed by parent or responsible adult), wear a safety helmet, follow all rules and directions and wear proper clothing and footwear.  Note-  Riding is contingent on the weather.

     
             
     
     
             
     

Do you have sledding in the winter?
        We do have sledding on the premises in the winter.  Everyone must use the Farm's sleds and can only go sledding during our supervised sledding activity.

     
             
     
     
             
     

Are there phones or televisions in the rooms?
        None of our rooms have phones in them.  There is a public phone that accepts calling cards available for purchase in the gift shop.  Cell phones do not always work here.  The Mountain hides the signal.  For those of you who need to work while you are here we have a private phone room where a laptop can be connected to the internet using a wireless connection.  Multiple persons can use this connection at one time but must be sitting close enough to receive the signal.  Only deluxe rate rooms and the Brick House have televisions in them.  Trailsend has a public living room with a television and VCR.  There is also a children's TV lounge and an adult TV lounge downstairs by the indoor pool.   

     
             
     
     
     

Is there internet access at the farm?
        Yes.  We have free wireless internet access available in the Village Bunkhouse and in the Main Inn.  Stop in the office to get the wireless password and you can use your laptop in the Main Inn, in the basement of the Village Bunk House or on the lawn outside of the building.   

     
             
     
     
     

How can people reach me?
        If people need to reach you in case of an emergency they can call 603-242-6495, 24 hours a day.

     
             
     
     
             
     

What is the closest airport?
        Manchester, NH is an hour and a half away. Hartford, CT is two hours away.  Boston, MA is two hours away.  Boston's airport is a little harder to get in and out of than the other two.

     
             
     
     
             
     

How does gratuity work?
        Gratuity must be left by either cash or check.  We do not accept gratuity by credit card.  A suggested 10- 15% of your room charge, (before tax and extras are added) is given at check out, although you are welcome to leave whatever you deem appropriate.  If you leave it in the office at the end of your stay it will be divided appropriately or however you suggest. 

     
             
     
     
             
     

Can we bring our dog?
        Dogs are welcome in some of the rooms.  Please check with us prior to your stay to see if your room is dog friendly.  All dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.  They are not allowed in the dining room or any public rooms.  We also ask that you pick up after your dog.

     
             
     
     
             
     

What time is check-in and check-out?
        You can arrive anytime during the day but we do not guarantee the room until 3:00.  Please let us know in advance if you plan on arriving for lunch.  It is served from 12:00-1:00.  We ask that you check out of your room by 10:00am the day of check out.  Lunch is available to all who have it included in their plan.

     
             
     
     
             
     

When is the skating rink open?
        Our skating rink is indoors but uses the outdoor temperature in order to freeze.  Therefore it is usually open very late in December to very early in March.

     
             
     
     
             
     

Are there laundry facilities on the premises?
        We have a laundry room located in the basement of the Village Bunkhouse.  There are two washers and two dryers.  Detergent can be purchased in the office.

How many rooms does the Inn have and how large is the property?
        East Hill Farm is a 150 acre working farm, with 65 tastefully decorated guest rooms, 3 swimming pools, a barnyard filled with animals, and a kitchen where homemade breads arouse the senses and bountiful meals emerge.  There is a pond for fishing and boating at the Inn as well as 12 kilometers of trails for hiking and cross country skiing.  

     
             
     
     
             
     

Do you have trails for hiking?
        There are 12 kilometers of trails for hiking snow shoeing and cross country skiing on our property.  There are several trails to hike Mt. Monadnock and Gap mountain.  Ask for trail maps at our office.
